The mission for our organization is to support impoverished children in our communities by allowing children to donate to other children.   There are many organizations that specialize in charities for children, however our organization focuses on educating families and helping them donate to children in an easy way through a process facilitated through our organization. Children are the future of our country, and a big part of who they become as an adult starts with their development in their childhood. In America, today, one in five children are living in poverty. After reading the excerpt and the book The Blue Sweather, it has opened my eyes to the rest of the world and challenged me to think of ways to make the world a better place. Many people say that the “American Dream” is a lie because people do not have the same opportunities. I believe this to be false claim, and I think there are other reasons to why some people find themselves as an adult not being able to be successful.   I believe that our society should start investing more money on the children especially at a young age. For this random post I will be talking more about politics once again. Speaking about politics I wanted to bring about the controversial issue about whether or not Roy Moore should continue to run for senate based off recent allegations against him. Allegations were brought onto Moore 4 weeks before the elections, accusing him of sexually abusing a 14 year old girl four decades ago when he was 32 years old. There have been many different sources that have claimed this, however Moore has denied these accusations. In my own opinion, the claims made about Moore are convincing that he is guilty especially since so many sources have been claiming this. I also had the chance to listen to Moore's interview with Sean Hannity and I do not believe Moore was able defend himself well against these claims since he basically admitted to dating 17 year old girls when he was 32. Even though I did not connect much with the author’s views, I still enjoyed most of the content that this book had. What was most valuable to me after reading this book was the different experiences and point of views that Chuck Collins had mentioned throughout the book. Although, I do not agree much about how Collins interprets the upper class and everyone else I still believe he did make some valid points that I certainly thought about. Collin’s purpose of the book was mainly to call for social change between the rich and the poor and end the “war” that goes on between the two. I do agree with him that the views the rich have on the poor and vice versa is damaging and there could be some possible ways to achieve trust.              Furthermore, I do feel like this book is more powerful because it is written by an author who was part of the 1%.
