A World We Dare to Imagine (Post #3)
Sharing Is Caring
Sharing Is Caring is an organization that seeks to help children
living in poverty get the same benefits as the average child. The mission for
our organization is to support impoverished children in our communities by
allowing children to donate to other children. There are many organizations that specialize
in charities for children, however our organization focuses on educating families
and helping them donate to children in an easy way through a process
facilitated through our organization.
Children are the future of our country, and a big part of
who they become as an adult starts with their development in their childhood.
In America, today, one in five children are living in poverty. Studies have
shown that children who live in poverty are more likely to be criminals and are
more likely to suffer from severe health problems. I am passionate about the
work that my organization will do because we understand how important childhood
development is to their success in adulthood, and we know there is so much our
country can do to help. Although the government should be accountable for this
issue since so little of our national budget is going to children, our
community can also take steps in solving the problem.
For Kids living in poverty, they do not grow up the same way
as their peers. These kids will not have holiday celebrations or even birthday
celebrations which means they will not receive any gifts. What is unique about
my organization is that it allows children to donate the gifts they would have received
to other children who do not have the privilege of ever receiving gifts.
One if the biggest advantages of our business model at
Sharing is Caring is the connectivity donors will have with whom they are
supporting. Children will randomly be connected with another kid, and will be
given a story of that child’s life and the impact that the donor will make.
This process is very personal that other charitable organization struggle to
achieve.
As shown with the statistics with child poverty, this is a
huge problem that effects our country. Anima Mundi Development Partners should
invest and support my organization because of the long-term effects it will
provide for our country. Although this donation might seem like a small cause,
it can go a long way in child’s life and possibly a path to success.
