Random Post#2

After talking about the controversial issues in sports last post, I have decided to only stick to purely sports this week. The Lakers have just begun their season and there is a lot to be excited about, however disappointed as well. The Lakers are beginning their season with their rookie player that everyone has very high standards for. This player is Lonzo ball, but I don’t believe he is even the best rookie on the team. Ultimately, I believe Kyle Kuzma is not only Laker’s best rookie but also their best player coming into the season.  Over the preseason and Summer league, Kuzma surprised everyone with his talent and I think he has the most potential to grow as a player.

Last week, Lakers played their first game of the season against their rivals Clippers and they were blown out of the game from the start. Coming into the game Lozno Ball had the highest expectations out of any player, but throughout the game he was basically shutout only scoring three points on a very poor field goal percentage. On the other hand, Kyle Kuzma only played 15 minutes but outscored Lonzo while only missing two shots in the game. Overall, I believe the Lakers have a lot of young talent on their team, but it’s not going to be until they get a proven star that they make the playoffs or even get a winning percentage over fifty.
